Autumn is the season of letting go. Just as autumn leaves gently fall away to make room for spring new growth, what are one or two things that no longer serve you that you can let go of in order to embrace your new self and your Higher Self?
What are the 10 most important things in your life at this time?
Only you can answer these two questions, my friend. Only you know what is past due and needs release. Only you, know what is needed to move forward in life and grow. Only you understand what makes your heart soars, what is vital to your well-being, what is supportive of you are. May it be to support your heart, to nurture your spirit, to enhance your spiritual growth.
Letting go is not always easy. Sometimes we have to let go of people who are draining us or of people who are not supportive of who we are. Sometimes, we feel obligated to please these kind of people. Sometimes, we feel we need to be nice or we may not to want to make waves. But in the long run, we suffer. When we “put up” with what or with who need to be removed from our life, we begin on a path that is hard because we lose our authenticity. We may compromise our values and who we are.
For me, one of the 10 more important things in my life is meditation. I organize my life so from time to time I can create a space where I can reflect on these questions: What is it that I can let go? What are the 10 most important things in my life?
Yesterday, I participated in a meditation retreat. Sleepy-eyed, I got up at 5.30 AM and I was back by home by 8.30 PM. A day well spent. I rejuvenated myself, came to terms with what I can release and reinforced my convictions on what I keep, on what is important and vital to my body, spirit, well-being and spiritual growth.
The Holidays are right around the corner, I wish you the inspiration to contemplate these two questions before life gets too busy again. I wish you the conviction to move on with your life with the reassurance you have done well by protecting your values and your authenticity.
