Dear friend,
January often arrives with noise.
New goals. New plans. New versions of who we should be.
But what if this month wasn’t about leaping forward—
what if it was about listening first?
Before decisions, before resolutions, before action…
there is a quieter place inside you that already knows what matters.
An Invitation
Self-trust doesn’t come from forcing clarity.
It grows when we slow down enough to feel what’s true.
So today, I invite you into a small pause—one that blends reflection with body wisdom, and helps you reconnect with your inner compass.
A January Self-Trust Practice (10 minutes)
Part 1 — Listening Inward (Reflection)
Take a few slow breaths. Let your shoulders soften.
Then, without overthinking, reflect or journal on these questions:
- What drained me most last year?
- What quietly nourished me—even if no one noticed?
- When did I override my own needs or inner voice?
Now look at what you wrote and ask:
What truly matters to me right now—not in theory, but in lived experience?
Circle one to three values that feel alive today.
Part 2 — Returning to the Body (Inner Compass)
Place both feet on the floor.
Take one slow breath in… and a long breath out.
Bring to mind the weeks ahead.
- Where do you feel expansion in your body?
- Where do you feel contraction?
There is no right answer—only information.
Complete this sentence gently:
If I trusted this sensation, my next small step would be…
Let the answer be simple. Almost ordinary.
Bringing It Into Life
Self-trust is built through small, embodied choices.
This week, choose one moment where you:
- Pause before responding
- Check in with your body
- Say yes—or no—without over-explaining
That’s enough.
You don’t need the whole map—only the next true step.
If this reflection stirred something in you and you feel ready to explore it further,
I currently have space for individual coaching this season.
With love,
